The Eephus League Magazine Preview

Bethany Heck

The Preview is online! The magazine is coming along great, and I’ve received more content to expand upon this as well. I wanted to show you guys what I had and put out a call for additional content and ideas. I’d love to flesh this thing out some more and make it nice and meaty. There aren’t any beautiful baseball magazines out there right now and I want to change that.

Right now, planned features include:

Baseball haikus
An interview with Brian Lindstrom
Tales of misery from baseball fans
Unique Baseball Patents
Spotlighted Baseball vocabulary
This day in Baseball
A tribute to the research of James K. Skipper

And more!

Thank you Ashley! That is the plan. I might have to try and get some advertisers to make it cost effective, but once I have an idea of the final page number I’m going to start getting quotes on getting it printed.

I work at an advertising agency in Memphis. I’ve seen a lot of good work, but this is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to have a physical copy. Keep up the good work!

Kevin, I’d love to have you write something for the magazine, why don’t you email me and tell me what you’d like to do.

Thanks Daddypundit! I’m happy to hear any ideas and want people to be as involved as they want to be.

I think I speak for all of us when I say we need a release date…. even if it’s fake, just to cure our “halfway to report for spring training” woes.

First: Visually it looks great and the content is really interesting. It does, and will make for a fun read.

Second: An idea for a feature: Baseball art. I’m saying this somewhat selfishly, as an artist who’d love to submit something. There’s some great artwork in it already, but a future art feature would be an honor to be a part of.

    Third: Thanks a lot!

You should start a Kickstarter project to raise money. I’d donate for sure!! Great idea.
