The Eephus League Magazine has been a long time coming. It began as a project in the MFA program at MICA, and I had every intention of expanding it into a real part of the Eephus League. Several months, a new city and new job later, I’ve decided to re-imagine the magazine as an online reading experience. The online format allows me to explore new web techniques as well as making it easier to distribute. I have to credit Edits Quarterly for the beautiful format inspiration.
The site is a unique reading experience. The entire issue loads into one page, so give it a few moments to load in. The up and down arrow keys will allow you to cycle through “pages”, there is a table of contents at the beginning of the issue that will zip you to the main stories, and the “ESC” key on your keyboard will bring up a TOC as well. Oh, and the issue will work on your iPads as well.
I want to thank Brian Lindstrom and Jeremy Reiss for lending their artwork and Brian for allowing me to interview him, which was certainly the highlight of the process. There are also contributions from several Eephus League readers in Inning 7, so my heartfelt thanks go out to each of you for sharing your baseball memories.
If you enjoy the magazine and would like to see more produced, donations are always welcome. I would love to be able to make this a permanent part of the Eephus League family. I hope you enjoy the magazine!

Beth:
This is truly the most beautiful thing I’ve seen online in quite some time. Absolutely gorgeous. If this ever goes to print–and my lord it should–I would subscribe in a heartbeat.
Thank you for your passion and your talent.

Overall (and not Orville!) . . . wonderful.
But I have to ask: “Tim” McGraw was “Little Napoleon”?

I love baseball. I love design. I love baseball probably more. Probably more than just about anything. This site, this digital magazine, is one the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Online or not. Just beautiful. Thanks

Well said, Jarrett. I agree. Life’s a little more fun with this site. The design is like a tonic.

How does one submit work to the magazine? I have a piece on the 2001 World Series I’ve been working on, on and off, as a passion project.
